Nunez’s high pressing and well-timed tackle for Uruguay

Darwin Núñez is, in the best possible way, as mad as a box of frogs on a football pitch and his tireless career and effort for Liverpool have already won over many of our fans.

During his World Cup debut for Uruguay, our number 27 showcased these skills when he faced off against South Korea and won the ball back high up the pitch.

The 23-year-old then attempted to launch his own attack on the opposition and his clever ability nearly worked to perfection, before he was unceremoniously brought down.

Although there was no goal for the former Benfica’s performance, he showed that he is well prepared for this challenge in Qatar and is ready to shine in the next two group stage matches.
