The Manchester United defender was substituted during the Iran match after suffering from blurred vision, but retained his place in the starting lineup against the United States.
And he produced a rare moment of magic early in the first half when he dribbled past several players displaying dribbling prowess.
He couldn’t complete his pass, but fans online loved that he turned into a top-notch Messi for a few seconds.
