Juventus on alert as Milinkovic-Savic rejects new Lazio deal

Juventus have received a boost as it looks like Lazio is facing a losing battle in their bid to keep Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The midfielder will enter the final year of his current contract next season and the Biancocelesti are keen to land him on a new one.

The Serb’s camp is willing to negotiate a new deal, but they will only accept an offer that suits them.

Lazio’s initial offer has not met that criteria and transfer expert Giulio Cardone has revealed that his initial offer has been rejected and he is likely to leave Rome now.

He said via Tuttomercatoweb:

“The renewal of Milinkovic? For now, the agent, Kezman, rejected the renewal proposals with the termination clause. I think the most likely solution is a transfer to the highest bidder in June so as not to lose it for free in 2024”.

Juve FC says

As we watch from the sidelines, this news is great to hear, and it could be a clear sign that we should prepare an offer.

The midfielder knows that he deserves to play for a great club and now it is one of the best chances he has.

If you commit to a long-term contract at Lazio, you will lose a good chance to wear a more prestigious shirt.
