Dani Alves insists Mbappe respects Mbappe and Neymar

Brazilian legend Dani Alves has made his thoughts on Kylian Mbappe clear following the Frenchman’s public issues with his teammates at Paris Saint-Germain.

The 39-year-old represents the Selecao this year at the World Cup in Qatar.

Mbappé signed an excellent contract with the Ligue 1 giants this year, putting an end to ongoing speculation about his possible move to Real Madrid, at least until 2025.

His contract extension included a pay rise that sees the star earn a whopping £546m over the next three years, as well as having a say in major matters at the club, however he was still not satisfied.

The reports came shortly after the 23-year-old’s wish to leave PSG was extended because promises had not been kept, one of which was that the board would oversee the sale of Neymar.

Alves thinks about the situation in his old club

Alves commented on the situation in Paris to La Gazzetta dello Sport, insisting that Messi and Neymar are “geniuses” who have played with the pair throughout their careers.

He said: “Mbappé is a phenomenon that has not yet understood that those who play with him in attack are bigger phenomena than him. A great player should always know and understand who he plays with, your teammates enrich your qualities.

“If Mbappé gave the ball to Messi and Neymar, he would score 150 goals.”
