Bruno Fernandes Reacts to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Man Utd Exit

Bruno Fernandes: The midfielder has said it was a ‘dream come true’ to play with Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United.

Ronaldo and Fernandes were linked at Manchester United after the former rejoined the Red Devils in the 2021 summer transfer window. However, Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United did not go as planned and came to an abrupt end. earlier this week.

Ronaldo sat down for an explosive interview with Piers Morgan earlier this month in which he criticized manager Erik ten Hag and the Glazers family, the club’s owners. The Portuguese superstar effectively burned his bridges with Manchester United with that explosive interview.

Man Utd have since terminated Ronaldo’s contract by mutual consent. The Red Devils announced earlier this week that Ronaldo will leave the club by mutual consent, effective immediately.

“It was good for me while it lasted. Now Cristiano has made a different decision for his career and his family and we have to respect that,” Fernandes said.

“I have not discussed the subject with Cris. We are all focused on the national team and the World Cup. I don’t feel uncomfortable. I don’t have to choose a side. It was a dream come true to play with Cristiano [at United] But nothing lasts forever.”
