Juventus has no plans to replace Wojciech Szczesny for now

Juventus had a chance to replace Wojciech Szczesny with Gigio Donnarumma last season, but Max Allegri kept faith with the Polish goalkeeper.

He continues to prove himself one of the best in the business as the Bianconeri rebuild their roster.

However, in recent weeks, reports have linked Juventus with a move for a replacement, including Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi.

The youngster is reportedly seen as a better option because he will provide long-term value.

However, a report on Tuttomercatoweb reveals that buying a new goalkeeper is not a priority for Juventus right now.

Instead, the Bianconeri will keep Szczesny as their first choice and strengthen other parts of their team.

Juve FC says

Szczesny hasn’t been a bad goalkeeper for us and we expect him to continue to impress in goal.

This means we don’t need to try to replace him, so we can focus on strengthening other parts of the team.

The Pole is one of the best goalkeepers and a replacement might not be as good as him.

Mattia Perin isn’t a bad second choice either and has done well when replacing Szczesny.
