Cristiano Ronaldo has come out with all guns blazing in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner expressed how he felt betrayed by Manchester United.
Ronaldo mentioned how the coach, along with two or three other players, tried to fire him.
He said, “I don’t respect Erik ten Hag.”
“If you don’t have respect for me, I’ll never have it for you”
Ronaldo was amused by the constant criticism directed at him by Wayne Rooney
“I don’t know why he criticizes me so much… probably because his career is over and I’m still playing at the highest level.”
Ronaldo was criticized by the media and fans for being late for pre-season.
He explained how his three-month-old daughter was hospitalized in July, so it took more time.
Ronaldo went on to state how United have collapsed since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
“Since Sir Alex left, I haven’t seen any development at the club.”
“Nothing had changed. He knows better than anyone that the club is not going the way it deserves. He knows. Everybody knows.”
