Confirmed starting XI: Anthony Elanga and Anthony Martial start as Donny van de Beek drops to the bench – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United will take on Fulham as the team looks to return to winning ways.

United will be looking to shake off the ghosts of defeat against Aston Villa and will be keen to pick up all three points before a long World Cup break.

Erik ten Hag will face a selection dilemma with several stars unavailable due to injury or illness.

A player who will not start due to illness is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo missed the Carabao Cup match against Aston Villa and will also miss the Fulham clash at Craven Cottage.

In Ronaldo’s absence, Anthony Martial will lead United’s line. The Frenchman excelled at this on Thursday and will have another chance to impress.

Martial will have academy graduates Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elamga on either side of him.

Apparently, Antony isn’t 100% ready to start yet, so Elanga steps into the side to play on the right flank with Rashford free to ply his trade on his favored left flank.

Bruno Fernandes will return to his favorite playmaker role after a brief spell in the right wing position.

Bruno will play ahead of Christian Eriksen and Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.

All members of United’s midfield trio will head to Qatar with their respective national teams after the match at Craven Cottage.

In the absence of Diogo Dalot, who will miss the game through suspension, Tyrell Malacia will take over the position at right back.

This is a role that Malacia is familiar with and has played before.

Luke Shaw will play left back in a back four.

David de Gea returns to the side ahead of Martin Dubravka, who started on Thursday against Aston Villa.

Nathan Bishop, Martin Dubravka, Harry Maguire, Fred, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek, Zidane Iqbal and Alexander Garnacho are on the bench.
