Granit Xhaka forced off in early substitution with World Cup looming

Granit Xhaka was forced to make an early substitution in Arsenal’s afternoon clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

His problem was unclear as to why he fell in the opening minutes of the match. He then signaled to the bench to make the change and consequently was replaced by Fabio Vieira.

The 30-year-old has been instrumental in Arsenal’s excellent form this season and the club will be top of the Premier League table during the World Cup and Christmas period, following Manchester City’s 2-2 defeat. -1 against Brentford.

Xhaka has once again become a fan favorite in the Emirates despite the breakdown of his relationship with fans before losing his captaincy to Unai Emery.
