Marcus Rashford shines as Manchester United come from behind to win – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford had an impressive performance against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.

The club came from behind in an extraordinary 4-2 win last night where Erik ten Hag went on to praise the team for their fighting spirit.

It was evident to see that the players really cared after equalizing just seconds after going 1-0 down.

Some of last night’s best players included Bruno Fernandes, who scored a goal and provided an assist.

Alejandro Garnacho also had a spectacular performance coming off the bench to assist the last two goals.

Rashford, who will travel with England to the World Cup, is in fine form this season with Ten Hag after a difficult season last year.

The Englishman had a passing accuracy of 81% last night after starting from the left with the return of Anthony Martial taking up the forward position.

He went on to earn two tackles during the game and proved to be a good asset when the team needed to defend.

With Martial retiring just after the 60th minute, Rashford switched to the number nine position, where he was eager to get on the scoreboard.

It only took a couple of minutes until his fabulous goal equalized once again after Villa went 2-1 up.

Rashford also completed all of his crosses and was successful in all of his ariel duels.

He followed up with a shot just wide and came close to making a spectacular effort, but it was denied by the woodwork.

The 25-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season and Ten Hag clearly expects him to stay for the long haul.

He has already scored eight goals in all competitions this season, surpassing his tally of five last year.

Man United take on Fulham in the Premier League this weekend before most of the team travels to compete in the World Cup.
