Jamshedpur FC Head Coach Aidy Boothroyd has ordered his team to make amends for their loss to FC Goa ahead of their 2022-23 Hero Indian Super League (ISL) match on Wednesday at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur. The match was scheduled to take place in Jamshedpur.
After the first few weeks of matches, the teams have started to find their footing, which makes the rematch between the team that won the shield last year and the team that won the Hero ISL championship look more promising.
The team currently ranked first in the standings, Hyderabad FC, will be working hard to extend their current winning streak. After suffering their second setback of the year, the Red Miners will be looking to get back on track in terms of winning games.
Boothroyd, who was joined by striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas at the pre-match press conference, predicted that his team’s match against Hyderabad FC would be tough but exciting. He was joined in this prediction by Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

The team suffered a defeat at the hands of FC Goa. You are now playing Hyderabad FC who are the current champions of Hero ISL. To what extent are you looking forward to meeting them?
The fact that they have been able to work together effectively for three years adds to the stability that exists. Both our performance and the result against FC Goa left me quite unsatisfied. Because the second half was more attractive, we now have higher expectations for each other.
Where better to make amends than against the team that now leads the league? His team and his coach are very strong. We are all looking forward to it with great anticipation.

Any update on Eli Sabia’s injuries? Eli Sabia was injured. After taking it to the scanner, everything went perfect. We should expect him to return sometime in the next two or three weeks. Every team is at risk for problems such as injuries and suspensions. Going through those challenges and finding out what the crucial components are is a must.
What were the mistakes that were made during the most recent match against FC Goa? And what kind of life lessons can be drawn from such a game? After the first half hour we were down 2-0, our strategy had not been implemented and we found ourselves in a position where we needed to try and win the game.

However, bearing in mind that we must not give in any further, it is essential to refrain from dwelling too much on results and performances that are sometimes downright awful. One of the best teams is FC Goa. We are obliged to give them credit. But we weren’t even close to our best.
We didn’t carry out our strategy in the first 12 minutes of the match as we intended, but I’m satisfied with how we played in the second half. In light of the amount of effort the players and team put into it, I found both the result and the performance to be extremely unsatisfactory.

The second half was tough, even though we beat NorthEast United FC. JFC presented a better performance in the first half compared to the second. Is there concern in the group about it?
We have competed against other clubs that have had a successful start. In the second half, we make adjustments to our strategy in response to the way the game progresses and the strategy changes that are required as a result.
As you can see, our start to the match against FC Goa was not strong at all. However, our match against Odisha FC got off to a good start for us. The success of the recipe depends entirely on making sure that all the ingredients are well combined.
