Switzerland has announced its final squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup, which starts on November 20. Switzerland coach Murat Yakin announced his 26-man squad for the World Cup on Wednesday.
Rossocrociati is in Group G at the 2022 World Cup. Joining them in Group G are Brazil, Serbia and Cameroon. Meanwhile, Brazil announced its World Cup squad earlier this week.
Switzerland will start their campaign for the 2022 World Cup on November 24. They will face Cameroon in their first match of the group stage. Switzerland will face Brazil on November 28. Their last group stage match is against Serbia. The two sides will meet on December 3.
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka and Chicago Fire star Xherdan Shaqiri have both made the cut for Switzerland’s 26-man squad for the World Cup. Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji, Newcastle United defender Fabian Schar, Chelsea midfielder Denis Zakaria, Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer, Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, RB Salzburg attacker Noah Okafor also feature in the 26-man squad for the World Cup.

How Switzerland qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup
Switzerland sealed their place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup after finishing as the winner of Group C in the European Qualifiers for the World Cup.
The Rossocrociati were in Group C in the European Qualifiers for the World Cup. Group C also featured defending European champions Italy, Northern Ireland, Bulgaria and Lithuania.
Switzerland topped Group C with 18 points from eight games. They had five wins and three draws and were undefeated in Group C.
Italy were the favorites to directly seal qualification for the Group C World Cup. But they could only finish in second place, behind Switzerland. Italy only secured 16 points from eight games, two points behind Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Italy advanced to the European play-offs but missed out on World Cup qualification after a shock loss to North Macedonia.
