Greedy Manchester United owners, the Glazer family, are currently embroiled in talks that will see England’s biggest football club change hands.
This is according to a CaughtOffside exclusive reporting that according to British agent Haydn Dodge, the Glazers may finally be at the end of their dominance at Old Trafford.
The Glazers are only talking to US-based investment companies at the moment, which means that if a sale goes through, the Red Devils may find themselves with American owners again.
This latest revelation comes after fan fury over the Glazers’ parasitic management of the 20-time English champions spread earlier in the year.
There were numerous protests, demonstrations and even boycotts with supporters who made no secret of their discontent with the family.
The Glazers have gained notoriety in English football for their gluttonous practice of prioritizing personal gain at the expense of team progress.
For many years, they have made huge dividends and have refused to invest money in the infrastructure of the club.
They have also saddled the club with a huge debt. This, along with their involvement in the European Super League, proved to be the turning point for the Old Trafford faithful.
Dodge says of a potential sale of United: “Although those involved in a potential acquisition are bound by confidentiality agreements, talks are progressing behind the scenes.”
“Every penny will always be scrutinized and punished for its public nature. Old Trafford is also in need of a facelift so it’s a big deal and the owners know they’re continually under the microscope.”
“There are talks to sell the club with investment companies in the United States but, as usual, all those involved have been forced to sign confidentiality agreements. The Glazer’s valuation is just under £4bn.”
It will be interesting to see how fans react to the prospect of other American owners.
Hopefully, the sale goes through and United can finally say goodbye to the Glazer family for good.
