Henderson makes Jude Bellingham claim amid Liverpool transfer links

Jordan Henderson has admitted that he has to be careful what he says about Jude Bellingham in light of the player’s youth and the risks of too much pressure.

However, if his latest campaign has given any indication, it is that England’s rising star is more than capable of handling anything that comes his way.

“I am very excited about Jude as a player, as a character and as a person,” the former Sunderland star told the Daily Mail.

“I can’t speak highly enough of him. I’m wary of talking too much around him because it’s easy to forget how young he is and there’s a lot of pressure on him.

“Let him play and enjoy his football. He has done fantastically well again this season, which is no surprise. That’s a big, big advantage of getting to the World Cup to have a player like him fit.”

Fabrizio Romano confirmed on CaughtOffside’s Substack that the former Birmingham City prospect remains at the top of the Reds’ transfer wish list, although there will be plenty of competition for his signing at the earliest opportunity.

It can be difficult to discuss the advantages in the race for Bellingham given that our own finances compared to Real Madrid and Manchester City present a serious handicap.

That said, the relationship between the teenager and our experienced midfielder cannot be ruled out. Nor can we overlook Jurgen Klopp’s relationship with Borussia Dortmund and the importance that the player gives to his personal development.

They are far from offering guarantees in this transfer battle, although it is safe to say that no one should rule Liverpool out just yet.
