Sutton offers score prediction as ‘erratic’ Liverpool prepare for Spurs clash

Chris Sutton has tipped Liverpool to earn all three points when they visit Tottenham Hotspur Stadium later today.

The Reds head into the clash in the capital after back-to-back Premier League defeats against Nottingham Forest and Leeds United, while Spurs will move with confidence after securing their place in the Champions League round of 16 earlier this month. this week.

Both teams have key players ruled out through injury, but the former Blackburn Rovers striker is still hoping for an ‘exciting’ game.

“Son Heung-min’s injury is particularly bad for Tottenham at the moment as two other attacking players, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski, are already out,” Sutton told BBC Sport.

“The only good news for Spurs fans is that I support Liverpool to win, and I have been wrong in almost every Liverpool result this season.

“Honestly, I don’t know what to expect from any of the teams here because as good as Liverpool have been in Europe over the last few weeks, they’ve been bad enough in the Premier League to lose to Nottingham Forest and then Leeds.

“As for the Spurs, they seem to specialize in starting games poorly and then struggling to win. However, whether they can do that without Son is another question.

“Both managers Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp have complained a lot about how exhausted their players are, so this will be a boring game between two tired teams.

“However, I don’t see it turning out that way. Both teams are so erratic that they could end the game completely differently than they started it, so it’s going to be exciting to watch.

“I’m going to get Liverpool past him, although I have to admit it’s a huge assumption.”

We currently find ourselves closer to the relegation zone than Champions League spaces, so if that doesn’t give the team motivation for the three points then we’re not sure what will.

Our start to the campaign has been slow to say the least, but we are still in November and there is still a long way to go this term.

The 2-0 loss to Napoli on Tuesday gave our boys a much-needed confidence boost and we need everyone to perform at their best if we are to come away with anything against Conte’s men.

Sutton has predicted a 2-1 win for the visitors, let’s hope he’s right.
