Jurgen Klopp was questioned for his thoughts that journalists had not done enough to criticize the decision to award the World Cup to Qatar.
The German stood his ground through it all, calling for the tactic to pressure footballers to act as forces of accountability before and during their time in the Middle East.
The uncomfortable reality for many will be that the Liverpool boss is absolutely spot on and acknowledgment of the harsh realities within the nation, while still necessary, comes too late.
