Chelsea manager Graham Potter has warned his team that the game against Arsenal in the Premier League will be tough but also exciting.

Chelsea and Arsenal meet in the Premier League London derby this weekend, with the Blues looking to return to winning ways in the English top flight.

The Stamford Bridge side suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion in their last Premier League game. Chelsea traveled to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton, who secured a deserved 4-1 victory over the Blues.

That defeat has seen Chelsea drop to sixth place in the Premier League points table. Against Arsenal, they won’t want a result that drops them further down the league table.

Chelsea come into the match following their 2-1 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in their last match of the 22/23 Champions League group stage. That win helped Chelsea advance to the next stage of the competition as winners of Group E.

Speaking at a news conference on Friday, Potter said that Chelsea’s performance against Dinamo Zagreb was good and that they have to bring that to Arsenal.

But he warned his team that the game against Arsenal will be a tough but exciting game. “It’s about whether the glass is half full or half empty. You know the work, you know the noise,” Potter said. [via Football.London].

“We were disappointed at the weekend because we didn’t play well and we lost the game. It’s about the answer and doing better. The boys have done very well. It was a good performance against Zagreb, and we have to bring that to Arsenal. A tough game, but very exciting.”
