Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi was recently introduced as a brand ambassador for Indian edtech company BYJU’S.
Hailing from the famous Masia, Lionel Messi spent most of his brilliant career at Spanish club FC Barcelona.
Regarded as one of the best in football history, Messi led Barcelona to the top of world football. He won all possible trophies with the Catalan giants before leaving the club. Since then, he plays for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue-1.
Messi has also had quite a bit of success with his Argentina national team. Last year, he won the Copa América trophy with the Argentine national team. He later added another trophy to his cabinet after defeating Italy in the Finalissima.
BYJU’S appointed Lionel Messi as brand ambassador
Throughout his career, Lionel Messi has been one of the most marketable players in the world. Sponsors and brands have scrambled to sign the Argentine superstar. And now one more brand has been added to the huge list of Lionel Messi.
Indian educational technology company BYJU’S recently appointed Lionel Messi as its brand ambassador for the Education for All social initiative. Messi will now promote the need for equitable education through this platform.
In a statement from BYJU’S, the Argentinian said, “I chose to partner with BYJU’S because their mission of making everyone fall in love with learning aligns perfectly with my values.”
“High-quality education changes lives, and BYJU’S has transformed the career paths of millions of students around the world. I hope to inspire young students to reach and stay at the top,” added the superstar.
Interestingly, BYJU’S is also an official sponsor of the upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022. Lionel Messi is ready to lead his Argentine team in the global event.
So far this is the only trophy that has eluded the Argentine star in his career. He came very close to winning it in 2014 but failed in the finals against Germany. Now the Argentine striker will have one last chance in Qatar.
The former Barcelona superstar has had a great start to the season. She has already scored twelve goals with the PSG shirt and has also provided fourteen assists. On top of that, Messi has scored nine goals in his last three appearances for Argentina.
Like the PSG striker, Argentina is currently one of the fittest teams in the world. They are undefeated in their last 35 starts. Lionel Messi’s team will arrive as a contender for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
