Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka was forced to withdraw with an ankle injury during the Gunners’ Premier League game against Nottingham Forest.

The north London side hosted Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium, and Saka was in Arsenal’s starting eleven for the match.

However, he only lasted until the 27th minute after suffering an ankle injury. Arsenal and England hope it’s not serious. Saka received on-field treatment but was unable to continue playing and was eventually replaced.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta brought Saka out, replacing the England international with Reiss Nelson.

Saka was fouled by Renan Lodi, and he looked uncomfortable. He continued to play for another 10 minutes, but could not continue any longer.

Saka, however, made an impact in the 27 minutes he played for Arsenal against Nottingham Forest. Arsenal broke the tie after five minutes of play, with Saka providing an assist for Gabriel Martinelli, who scored the goal.

Saka sent a cross into the Nottingham Forest area and Martinelli headed past Dean Henderson to give Arsenal the lead.

Arsenal lead 4-0 against Nottingham Forest at the time of writing. Nelson, who replaced Saka, has scored twice for the Gunners and Thomas Partey has also scored one.

Meanwhile, Saka has been a regular starter for Arsenal, appearing in every Gunners game so far this season.

The 21-year-old has appeared in 17 games for Arsenal in all competitions this season. He has amassed five goals for the Gunners in the 22/23 season. Saka has also registered five assists, the latest against Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal hope that Saka has not suffered a serious injury and that he can return to action soon. The Gunners host FC Zurich in a Europa League game before making the short trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the Premier League.

Arsenal have another two games scheduled before the winter break. They have a game against Brighton & Hove Albion in the EFL Cup third round and a Premier League away game against Wolves.

Meanwhile, England will also be sweating Saka’s fitness, as the World Cup kicks off on November 20. Manager Gareth Southgate will reportedly announce England’s squad for the World Cup on November 10.
