What Fabinho did to Liverpool fans moaning at Harvey Elliott for Leeds error

Fabinho did not like Liverpool fans taking out their frustrations on Harvey Elliott during the Premier League match with Leeds United.

Supporters made their displeasure clear after the Englishman lost possession in the first half of the action, inspiring the holding midfielder to defend his team-mate by waving his arms at the crowd, as Ian Doyle of the Echo noted on a tweet.

The Merseysiders found themselves drawing 1-1 with the visitors (at the time of writing) when Mo Salah rescued Jurgen Klopp’s men with an equalizer from close range.

While we can absolutely appreciate that our fellow fans are a bit miffed at the proceedings, especially when you factor in another poor start from the hosts, it’s highly unfair to aim the critical eye at our No. 19.

That’s not to say there aren’t many elements to Elliott’s game that could be improved as a young talent, although the full support of the Anfield crowd is a must for a teenage star who gives everything for the shirt.
