Edson Alvarez has said he is disappointed by Ajax’s decision to prevent him from joining Chelsea in the previous summer transfer window.
Chelsea tried to bring Álvarez from Ajax at the end of the summer transfer window. However, Ajax stood firm and refused to sanction the 25-year-old’s departure as several key players left in the summer transfer window.

Álvarez has now revealed his disappointment at the decision of the Dutch team not to authorize his departure in the summer transfer market.

Álvarez has made 10 appearances for Ajax in the Eredivisie and has registered two assists so far this season in the Dutch top flight.
He has also appeared in five games for Ajax in the Champions League and has scored one goal.
