Argentina and Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez has said he feels privileged to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo and Messi are two of the best footballers in history. Ronaldo, 37, and Messi, 35, are still considered among the best footballers in the world.

Martínez is one of the few players who have had the opportunity to call Ronaldo and Messi his teammates. At club level, Martinez plays for Manchester United, where Ronaldo plies his trade after sealing a sensational return to the Premier League club in the summer of 2021.

Martínez and Messi are teammates on the Argentine national team and were part of the Argentine squad that won the 2021 Copa América title.

Speaking to ESPN Argentina, Martínez admitted that he feels privileged to play alongside Ronaldo and Messi. He also said that it is an honor to share the court with them.

He said that they have an admirable mindset, revealing that they want to win even more after all they have won in their illustrious career.

“I feel privileged, it is an honor to share with them. You learn, you absorb. They have won everything, they want more, an admirable mentality and you give your best in every training session,” Martínez told ESPN Argentina. [via Mirror].

Martinez also revealed that Ronaldo has been treating him well since he arrived at Manchester United. The Argentine center-back revealed that Ronaldo has a pleasant charisma, who brings smiles and makes people laugh.

Martinez also revealed that Ronaldo is very professional and that the Portuguese superstar arrives early and is the last to leave.

Meanwhile, Martínez joined Manchester United in the summer transfer window. The Red Devils signed him from the Dutch team Ajax and strengthened his defensive department.

Martinez quickly established himself as a regular starter at Man Utd and has appeared in every Red Devils game so far this season.

He has made 16 appearances for the Old Trafford team since joining the club. He appeared in 11 games for Man Utd in the Premier League, where they are ranked sixth. Martinez has also appeared in five games for Man Utd in the Europa League, where he has collected 12 points in Group E.
