Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Arsenal defender Pablo Mari after he was stabbed in a supermarket on Thursday afternoon.
Mari, currently on loan at Monza from Arsenal, was unfortunately stabbed while in a shopping center in Italy, according to Fabrizio Romano.
La7, as reported by Calcio Mercato, also reported the incident and confirmed that Mari was conscious in the hospital. The report claims a 46-year-old man stole a knife from a supermarket before stabbing people at the mall, with three of them in serious condition.
Now, Arsenal coach Arteta has spoken about the incident after his defeat in the Netherlands against PSV.

“I just found out. I know that Edu has been in contact with his relatives. He is in hospital but seems to be fine,” Arteta was quoted as saying by Football London.
Fortunately, Arteta has confirmed that Mari appears to be doing well and hopefully she will continue to improve and eventually make a full recovery.
Mari Monza’s loan club has also issued a statement following the incident, which in English reads: “Dear Pablo, we are all here close to you and your family, we love you, keep fighting as you know how, you are a warrior. and you will recover soon.”
