Cristiano Ronaldo’s name reportedly came up in a financial investigation into Juventus.
On Wednesday, the Gazzetta dello Sport mentioned the dubious financial dealings of the Turin club.
The report (via Sport Witness) went on to state how Juventus have been accused of manipulating documents to falsify them.
“According to the group of magistrates of Turin, Juventus would have rigged the financial statements of 2018, 2019 and 2020 with 115 million euros of artificial capital gains to hide the erosion of the share capital and continue to improperly trade the shares on the stock exchange. . ”
Juventus have also been accused of signing a secret document with Ronaldo “that theoretically should not have existed”.
The deal was to pay the Portuguese £17 million even if he left the club.
Ronaldo ended up joining Man United in the summer of 2021 in a chaotic last-minute transfer.
