Kane set to extend Spurs contract

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly confident of striking a new deal with Harry Kane.

The England captain’s contract is due to expire in 2024, but Spurs are determined to ensure Kane stays beyond that, according to 90min.

Interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich is also likely causing some panic in north London, with Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic recently naming Kane “one of the best players of the world”.

In the summer, club manager Julian Nagelsmann said: “We’ll have to see what happens in the future” when discussing the striker. Bayern are yet to replace prolific goalscorer Robert Lewandowski, who left for Barcelona in July, and Kane offers a similar alternative.

The 29-year-old is yet to win a major trophy in his career despite being one of the top world-class strikers in all of Europe throughout his career. The German side is known for being able to secure trophies every season.
