Capello says Allegri is now behind some top Italian coachesJuvefc.com

Fabio Capello believes that Max Allegri is no longer Italy’s top manager and names some bosses who are way ahead of the Juventus manager.

Allegri won five consecutive league titles between 2014 and 2019 during his first spell as Juve manager.

That record made him one of the best managers in the world and he could have managed Real Madrid had the Bianconeri not moved quickly to bring him back last season.

We had hoped that his return would once again make Juve the best club in Italy, but they have been in poor form for the past two campaigns and are at risk of being knocked out of the Champions League in the group stage this week.

Capello believes that the Juve coach has lost his mojo and is no longer one of the best in Italy. He said via Calciomercato:

“Allegri is behind Sarri, Spalletti and Mourinho, who are proving their worth after a year.”

Juve FC says

Allegri is still one of the best managers, but the coach has to win another trophy soon enough to retain any prestige.

Another way he can repair his reputation is to salvage Juve’s poor Champions League campaign.

If he can beat Benfica and PSG to reach the next round of the competition, it will add some respect to his name.
