Robertson on Liverpool’s inability to convert ‘massive chances’

Liverpool suffered a tough away defeat to Nottingham Forest and Andy Robertson spoke after the game to lament his team’s inability to convert some important chances and their inability to test Dean Henderson in goal.

Speaking to LFCTV, the Scotland captain said: “We had great chances and the goalkeeper didn’t even make any unbelievable saves, it wasn’t like he had one of those days, we just didn’t make him work hard enough and the shots we managed to escape were maybe a little weak, the headers weren’t quite in the areas we needed them to be.”

Jurgen Klopp’s side managed to create some important chances from set pieces, but it wasn’t enough for us to find the back of the net and that was very costly.

Much has been said about the poor performances of some players, but none of this would have been a problem, if we had managed to score a couple of the great opportunities that were given to us.
