Tottenham Hotspur defender Clement Lenglet praises Lionel Messi as the best player in the world.
After spending time at the boys’ academy at Newell’s, Lionel Messi joined the FC Barcelona youth academy at a very young age. He then graduated from the Barcelona academy and was promoted to the main team. After his promotion, Messi did not take long to settle down.
He became one of the best players in the history of football. Messi won everything for Barcelona and made it one of the best clubs in the world. His love for Barcelona was unparalleled and it was often thought that the Argentine striker would only retire in a Blaugrana shirt.
However, things did not go as he would have wanted. Due to a deep economic mess, Barcelona could not register Lionel Messi’s contract. The Argentine had to leave the club at the beginning of last season.
Lenglet praises Lionel Messi

“For me, Messi is always a Barça player,” says the former Barcelona defender. Now Lenglet also thought that Lionel Messi is the best player in the world.
The Frenchman revealed that Messi helps other players grow every day. Lenglet joined Barcelona at the start of the 2018-19 season when the Catalan giants paid his release clause worth €35m to Sevilla.
He got off to a good start with the club and won the league in his first season. But then he couldn’t give consistent performances in the next few years. Ultimately, Barcelona decided to loan out the French defender earlier this season. He currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur and has only made three starts for the Spurs team so far.
