Chelsea keen on signing Arnaut Danjuma

Chelsea are interested in signing Villareal winger Arnaut Danjuma. The Dutch international first came to his attention during his spell at AFC Bournemouth.

He made 47 league appearances during his spell with the Cherries, scoring 15 goals in the process. Danjuma won the 2020–21 Bournemouth Player of the Season accolade and was named EFL Championship Player of the Month for April 2021.

His performances at the Vitality Stadium earned him a move to La Liga club Villareal in the summer window of 2021. He has continued his great form in Spanish football and has recorded 19 goals and four assists in 42 games (in all competitions) for the yellows. Submarine so far.

Danjuma is also a key member of the Dutch national teams. He has scored two goals in six appearances for his nation so far. The 25-year-old forward is expected to play a pivotal role for Oranje during the upcoming World Cup.

According to Calcio Mercato (via Sportskeeda), Chelsea are interested in signing Villareal striker Arnaut Danjuma. Graham Potter is looking to bolster his team’s attacking unit during the upcoming transfer window.

The London team signed Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling during the summer window, but they are still out of options up front. Danjuma will be an excellent addition to the Blues team given his talent and experience in English football.

The Dutch international is valued at €45m by TransferMarkt. Villareal are likely to demand a transfer fee close to that sum to sell their star attacker.

Newcastle United and AC Milan have also shown interest in signing him. Potter has a battle on his hands to capture him. Aside from Danjuma, Rafael Leao, Victor Osimhen and Jonathan David are other attackers linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.

What will Arnaut Danjuma bring to Stamford Bridge?

Danjuma is a versatile footballer who is capable of playing anywhere in the forward line or as an attacking midfielder. His key strengths are his dribbling, finishing and crossing skills, along with the ability to make key passes. Danjuma is also an expert at taking penalty kicks and has scored five goals from his place in his career so far.

He has played five LaLiga games this season, scoring three goals. According to WhoScored, the Dutch international has averaged one shot, 0.2 key passes and 0.2 dribbles in the league this season.
