(Video) Van Dijk passes on free header goal opportunity six yards away in favour of finding Firmino

Liverpool endured a tough first 45 minutes against Nottingham Forest and it was not a half in which the Reds created too many chances, with Virgil van Dijk wasting one of their best.

James Milner crossed after the opposing defense cleared their opening corner and his ball found our number 4, who was free at the far post.

In time and space, the 31-year-old could have headed in but he opted instead to try and find Bobby Firmino at the far post, which turned out to be the wrong decision.

Replays showed that possibly our best passing player on the team should have tried to test Dean Henderson, but instead our No. 9 missed the back post and we went into the break 0-0.
