Nottingham Forest set to host Liverpool with up to four players missing

Liverpool are set to return to the City Ground for the second time in as many seasons and, as with our traveling squad, Nottingham Forest will not have a full squad of players to choose from for the Premier League fight.

As reported by the Nottingham Forest club website: ‘Steve Cooper has revealed the latest team news, confirming that Harry Toffolo will miss the match after suffering a hamstring injury on Monday night, while that Lewis O’Brien is doubtfully due to illness.

‘Moussa Niakhaté and Omar Richards are still absent due to injury.’

Omar Richards is the only man in the quartet who has yet to appear this season and therefore will not be much of a miss for Steve Cooper’s side.

Harry Toffolo and Lewis O’Brien have each featured in eight of Forest’s 11 league games, the latter being one of five players to have scored a goal this season.

Moussa Niakhate has also been absent for much of this campaign, so there aren’t too many major losses within the home team.

Jurgen Klopp will be fully aware of the form problems facing the promoted team currently bottom of the league, but we saw in last season’s FA Cup match that it is certainly an intimidating venue at its best.

All the clubs in the Championship, when they get promoted, mark the matches against teams like ours as key dates on the agenda and thus their fans will be excited about the confrontation.

Hopefully an early start and a low level of confidence can calm the crowd and give us the lead in the 90 minutes.
