Toni Kross is one of the most talented midfielders of his generation. He joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in the 2014 summer transfer window.
The German international has made 378 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish club so far, registering 25 goals and 86 assists. He helped the Whites win three La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League trophies, among other honours.
Kroos was included in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season on five separate occasions and was part of the La Liga Team of the Season twice. The 32-year-old midfielder also has the German Footballer of the Year award in his trophy case.
However, he is in the last year of his contract at Real Madrid. He could leave the Bernabéu Stadium at the end of this season.

While speaking to the media recently (h/t Fabrizio Romano), Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Real Madrid will discuss Toni Kroos’ contract in the coming months.
He said: “He will think about it in January or February. I personally feel that Toni will continue here at Real Madrid. It’s his decision, we’ll see. He will think about it and then announce his plans.”
Several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester City, have shown interest in signing the former Bayern Munich midfielder in recent months. Kroos has won everything there is to win with the Spanish club. He could look for a new adventure during the last years of his career.
Ancelotti was also honest about the future of Marco Asensio
The Italian coach also updated on the future of Marco Asensio. He said: “We haven’t talked about the issue of Asensio’s contract. After the World Cup we will talk about his contractual position”.
Asensio has been a consistent performer for Real Madrid since arriving from Mallorca in 2014. He has made 166 La Liga appearances for the Spanish giants so far, scoring 29 goals. Asensio won the 2015-16 La Liga Revelation Player accolade and was also included in the UEFA Champions League Revelation XI in 2017.

However, he has struggled with his playing time this season, failing to start a single game in the league. The 26-year-old defender is in the last year of his contract at the Bernabéu. He could leave Real Madrid at the end of the season in search of regular playing time.
