AC Milan hold talks with agent of Chelsea striker Armando Broja

Chelsea forward Armando Broja has been linked with a move to Serie A club AC Milan. The Albanian international enjoyed an impressive spell on loan at Southampton last season.

He has made 32 Premier League appearances during his time at Saint Mary’s Stadium, scoring six goals. However, he has struggled for playing time since he returned to Stamford Bridge at the start of the current season.

Broja has managed to start just one Premier League match so far this season. He could look to leave the London team during the January transfer window.

The Rossoneri appreciate Broja and are eager to secure his services. Stefano Pioli sees Broja as a long-term replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who turned 41 earlier this month.

However, the 21-year-old attacker has recently signed a long-term deal with the Blues and is reluctant to move away from the club. Pioli will need a lot of persuasion to bring him to the San Siro.

Broja is also delighted to be working with new Blues manager Graham Potter. In an interview earlier this month, he said: “He wants to develop all the players and help everyone. It’s been great having him here, talking to him. It’s been a really good vibe, and we’re doing really good right now, so we just want to keep it that way.”

Potter took over Stamford Bridge last month. The Blues have gotten off to a good start under him, winning five of the seven games since his appointment.

Several major European clubs have shown interest in signing him, including Chelsea. Leao has been a consistent performer for the Italian outfit since joining from Lille in the summer window of 2019. Leao has made 104 Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri so far, registering 27 goals and 23 assists in the process. The Portuguese international won the Serie A “Most Valuable Player” accolade last season.
