Rio Ferdinand says “Lloris got something against Marcus Rashford” – Man United News And Transfer News

United legend Rio Ferdinand has been joking with Marcus Rashford on Twitter following the latter’s performance against Tottenham at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Rashford had some good chances to get on the score sheet and two of his shots on goal were excellently saved by Hugo Lloris on either side of halftime.

Ferdinand took to social media to say “Lloris has something against Marcus.”

The 24-year-old responded by saying, “Serious bro” with a laughing and crying emoji.

On one occasion, Fred took Rashford out in good position and although his touch carried him past the defence, his powerful shot was saved to Lloris’s right.

After the break, Rashford cut inside his shoulder and looked to curl one into the top corner, but Lloris once again made the save to deny the England international.

Rashford had a brilliant game, but while Ferdinand insisted Lloris kept him off the scoreboard, Thierry Henry said Rashford should have done better with the chances he had.

“I could have done better,” he said on Amazon Prime. “This is what I say, when this ball comes to you, look at the goalkeeper to freeze it.”

“Strikers don’t do that often, the ball comes at you, you look at the goalkeeper to freeze it and he never looked.”

He continued: “Just shoot low and side to side. Power is not always the answer.

Fortunately, it didn’t matter either way for the Reds who came out ahead 2-0 over Spurs.

Rashford clearly saw the fun side, responding to Ferdinand on Twitter and will no doubt be confident in the chances he created for his team.
