Wales National Team TV Schedule

The Wales National Team TV Schedule lists the TV/Streaming information you need to watch The Dragons.

Wales have only qualified for the World Cup twice: in 1958 and after a long drought, in 2022. In their only appearance to date, the Welsh managed to reach the quarter-finals. The Euros have not been kinder, as the only two appearances have been recently: 2016 and 2020, although they did reach the semi-final round in the former.

Led in the modern era by superstar Gareth Bale, Wales will no doubt be looking to reward their long-suffering supporters with a memorable performance in Qatar.

Wales’ secret to its success is a team ethic. Apart from Gareth Bale, there are no stars in this team. They all play for national pride and to make history. For most fans of the Welsh team, this will be the first World Cup in their lives. The last time it was here was in 1958 when it lost to Brazil, starring a young Pelé, in the quarter-finals.

As a well-organized unit, Wales are not an all-star Premier League team. In fact, many of its players play in teams from the second and even the third division of the English pyramid. However, don’t be fooled. This is a team that is a real underdog in the 2022 World Cup.

While Gareth Bale is not guaranteed to start most games, other players to watch out for include Kieffer Moore, a tall striker with a lethal heading ability who currently plays for Bournemouth. He is an objective man who can cause a lot of trouble for opposing defences.

Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson is a skilful winger with blistering pace. Daniel James plays on the other side. While he’s not as quick as Johnson, the duo of Johnson and James should wreak havoc on defenses.

Last but not least, the Welsh defense is in many ways the strongest asset the national team has. With defenders Ben Davies (Spurs), Joe Rodon (Rennes), Neco Williams (Forest), Connor Roberts (Burnley), Chris Gunter (Wimbledon) and Rhys Norrington-Davies (Sheffield United), Wales have plenty of quality to choose from.
