Conte still reflecting on Spurs renewal – What about Juventus return? -Juvefc.com

Once upon a time, Juventus fans expected Antonio Conte to become the club’s equivalent of Sir Alex Ferguson.

But unlike the legendary Manchester United manager, the Italian had no intention of staying in one place for too long, at least as his career path suggests.

The former midfielder kicked off the Bianconeri’s nine-year winning dynasty in 2011/12, but ultimately left the club in 2014 amid some discussions with management over transfer plans.

Since then, the 53-year-old has been with the Italian national team, Chelsea and Inter. He has been in charge of Tottenham Hotspur since November 2021, but his contract with the club expires at the end of the season.

According to Calciomercato, Spurs are determined to retain the Italian tactician’s services, offering him a new contract until 2025 and raising his salary from €15m to €20m per season.

However, the source assures that Conte is not in a hurry to link his future to that of North Londoners, as he is still waiting for other possible proposals.

While a return to Juventus could be on the card, the report believes the manager would be more attracted to another experience abroad, potentially at Paris Saint Germain or Real Madrid.

Therefore, a return to Turin remains unlikely at his particular time.
