Chelsea manager Graham Potter has delivered an update on Juventus loan situation Denis Zakaria after reports emerged that he could return to Italy in January.
The midfielder only joined Juve earlier this year but was loaned out in the summer after just half a season at Allianz Stadium.
He was one of the top players in Europe when he played for Borussia Mönchengladbach, but Juve won the race for his signing.
His brief stint at the club shows that the Bianconeri did not enjoy the way he played for them.
The midfielder is having problems again in London and it seems that he will eventually return to Juve.
However, Potter says that a decision about his future has not yet been made and that he is training well.
The English said through Football Italia:
“No decision has been made on this. Denis is in the group and has been training well”.
“Zakaria is ready to help the team, but there is competition for spots in that area,” Potter continued.
“He is an important member of the team and he is patient and tries to help the team from the side at the moment. He is waiting for his chance.”
Juve FC says
Zakaria seemed like a good buy when he scored on his debut for us, but his career has stalled ever since.
We were hoping this loan move would help him improve, but that doesn’t seem to be the case as he’s in trouble in London at the moment.
