Arsecast Extra Episode 494 – 16.10.2022

Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with James and I from @gunnerblog.

In this episode I’m joined by Andrew Allen, who replaces James who is on holiday, and we have to talk about an extraordinary 1-0 win at Elland Road. Starting with the referee/communications delay and the suspension of the game at 60 seconds, then at an even first half, a sensational goal by Bukayo Saka to put us in front, followed by an incident-packed second half that was an exercise in endurance for Arsenal fans. Patrick Bamford had a goal disallowed then missed a penalty as Leeds dominated the half we couldn’t control the game at all but dug deep to hang on and take all three points plus there was more late drama like a red card and a penalty awarded to Leeds were annulled. We then answer listeners’ questions about Gabriel, who was at the center of that late incident, the rotation for the Europa League, whether getting a win is good, Tomiyasu, and much more.
