Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has dismissed all rumors related to Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at Atletico Madrid on a summer transfer.
Ronaldo joined Manchester United at the start of the previous season from Juventus. Despite United’s massive underperformance as a team, the striker played very well.
He scored 18 goals for United in the English Premier League and provided three assists. On top of that, he also scored six goals in the UEFA Champions League. Ronaldo was without a doubt his best player of the season.

Speaking to journalist Martin Liberman, Simeone said: “The possible arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Atlético in the summer? The little birds told you anything far from what happened”
The Argentine coach thinks that the rumor was totally unfounded and that it was something that people just wanted to believe.
He further explained that he would never like to see Boca Juniors legends like Martín Palermo and Riquelme in River Plate and River Plate legends like Ortega in the Boca Juniors team.
Similarly, Cristiano Ronaldo is a symbol of Real Madrid. So he wouldn’t want a move like that.
