Massimo Rastelli says Juventus did not really reinforce their team as Di Maria and Pogba are absent alwaysJuvefc.com

Italian soccer coach Massimo Rastelli has spoken out about Juventus’s struggles despite their summer spending.

Having added Angel di Maria and Paul Pogba to their squad in the last transfer window, the Bianconeri were expected to have a strong 2022/2023 season.

However, that hasn’t happened so far, and it looks like this campaign could end just as badly as the last.

Juve know they have to do better considering the men on their side, but Rastelli says they haven’t been able to use Pogba and Di Maria, so they don’t count as reinforcements.

He says through Tuttojuve:

“Juve tried to strengthen themselves by virtue of last season by taking high-level players like Pogba and Di María, but they never had them. If you don’t have the reinforcements available, the general level is not in the top positions.

Juve FC says

We’ve had a bad season despite bringing some new guys into the team.

However, it makes little sense to say we’re doing poorly because two summer arrivals haven’t been playing regularly.

Other players need to step up and do their best, which should be enough to get the team out of this rot.

Hopefully we’ll have both players back on the team sooner than expected.
