Fabio Carvalho shone for Fulham last season and has made a promising start to his Liverpool career, with the Portuguese striker now among the final 20 candidates for the coveted Golden Boy Award.

The accolade highlights the performances of Europe’s best young players and the 20-year-old ranks among some of the best currently plying their trade on the continent.

Harvey Elliott had also appeared on previous lists, but missed the cut for this round, so now we’re pinning all our hopes on the last Red standing.

It will probably be a great question to see if our No. 28 is the man to take the crown, but the further he gets in the competition, the better he will feel about recent showings.

Jurgen Klopp hopes the versatile youngster can prove to be a valuable player in years to come and his performance against Rangers certainly showed the talent he has in his locker.
