Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, who is currently on loan in France with Marseille, named two stars who wowed him during his time at Old Trafford.
In an interview with L’Equipe, Bailly said: “I met a lot of great players in Manchester.”
“But if I have to talk about everyone who impressed me, we will never finish this interview!”
“There was incredible talent, both old and young.”
“Someone like Marcus Rashford really impacted me. Anthony Martial as well.
Bailly’s praise for the United duo will bode well for the confidence of both players, considering some of the names the defender has shared the field with, such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The two have impressed this season with Erik ten Hag.
Rashford currently has five goals and three assists for the Red Devils in eight appearances in all competitions this season.
Martial has scored three goals and has two assists in four appearances. The Frenchman has been heavily hampered by injuries this season, but still he has made an impact whenever he was available.
The 28-year-old insisted in his interview that he was trying to take care of his body after years of being plagued by injuries in England.
According to the report, Bailly is the latest to leave training camp as he relishes the chance to play for a club where he is guaranteed first-team minutes.
The centre-back describes his new situation, which contrasts sharply with his experience at United, as his greatest happiness.
