Lazio news: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is one of the most talented midfielders of his generation.
The Serbian international has played a key role in the success of the Eagles in recent years. He joined the Italian club from KRC Genk of the Belgian Pro League in the summer window of 2015.
Milinkovic-Savic has made 306 appearances in all competitions for Lazio so far, registering 62 goals and 59 assists. He has helped the Serie A team win one Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana.
The 27-year-old midfielder has twice won the Lazio Player of the Season award and was also included in the 2017-18 Serie A Team of the Season. He also won the Serie A Best Midfielder award in 2018-19.

While speaking to II Messaggero (via Fabrizio Romano), Lazio president Lolito spoke about the future of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. He said: “I have no agreement with his agent to sell Sergej to Juventus or any other club in January.”
He also put a price on the Serbian international: “Milinković’s price is no longer €100m, his value is €120m now.”
Savic is currently among the most sought-after midfielders in Europe, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Juventus all showing interest in signing him. However, the huge asking price for the Eagles could force them to walk away from the deal.
Ciro Immobile praises Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
Lazio captain Ciro Immobile praised the Serbian international. He compared him to Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne. Speaking to the media, he said (via Sportskeeda): “Trust me, Sergej Milinković-Savić is magical. He is on the same level as Kevin de Bruyne.”
Milinkovic-Savic has been in excellent form this season, registering three goals and seven assists in nine Serie A appearances. He will be hoping to continue his good form as the Eagles look to finish in the UEFA Champions League qualifying places this season.
Meanwhile, Kevin de Bruyne has wreaked havoc in the Premier League this term. He has recorded one goal and nine assists in nine league appearances so far.

Lazio have enjoyed a brilliant start to the current season, winning six of their first nine league games. They are currently third in the Serie A table, three points behind leaders Napoli.

The Eagles next play SK Sturm Graz in the UEFA Europa League before taking on Udinese in the league on 16 October. Milinkovic-Savic will play a key role for his team in both matches.
