Rio Ferdinand launches an inquiry into Jadon Sancho’s awful Manchester United form – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has questioned why Jadon Sancho has been unable to replicate his Bundesliga form in England.

Speaking on his Vibe with Five YouTube channel via The Daily Mail, Ferdinand attempted to link Sancho’s struggles to various things.

He mentioned the pace of the Premier League as something that could be preventing the player from finding his best form.

Beyond fast-paced league play, the former defender also attributed Sancho’s United struggles to the team’s set-up.

Fernando said: “That’s [inability to show Dortmund form] what worries me.”

“If I am Jadon Sancho, or I am in Jadon Sancho’s camp, I am looking for ways in which I can decipher his game, his mind, to discover the Sancho that made him a coveted talent in Europe.”

“Are you being asked to act more defensive so you don’t have the energy when they have [the ball] in transition?

The six-time Premier League champion added that after a similarly disappointing first season for Sancho, he was looking forward to this campaign starting, and even more so after a promising pre-season.

Ferdinand suggested that the Red Devils should look to play to the winger’s strengths: taking the ball, using his skills and displays.

However, the 22-year-old drew praise from the legendary centre-back for his brilliant finishing, which he regaled fans against Liverpool and Leicester.

After a poor performance against Omonia in the Europa League in which he was replaced at half-time by Marcus Rashford, Sancho has the fight to regain his place in the team on his hands.

Antony, who has been in good form since his arrival from Ajax, seems to have nailed down the right flank. Anthony Martial and Cristiano Ronaldo are Erik ten Hag’s men to lead the line. The left flank, currently occupied by Rashford, appears to be the only position left for the England international to fight for.

Sancho has a lot of skill, as all United fans know. He just has to be brave and courageous, which will allow him to prove himself more on the pitch.
