Liverpool team news ahead of Rangers clash

Liverpool will travel to Glasgow for Wednesday 12 October’s Champions League clash with Rangers without two key players.

Jurgen Klopp’s team lost 3-2 in a close match with Arsenal, which returned to the top of the Premier League table. The Gunners’ young attacking men took over the Liverpool defense and a 76th-minute penalty from Bukayo Saka secured the crucial three points for Arsenal.

While the result is worrying enough for Liverpool, injuries continue to plague their side ahead of one of the busiest periods in football. Games are fast approaching ahead of November’s World Cup and the club may be forced to bring in reinforcements during the January transfer window.

Wednesday gives the Merseyside side a chance to get back into form and spirits at the club. However, Klopp will have to re-evaluate his choice of starting eleven, as he is now without starting players Luis Diaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Latest Liverpool Injury News:

Diaz, who has proven to be one of Liverpool’s most threatening attackers since joining, will be out of action until December after sustaining a knee injury during Sunday’s game.

Klopp was also forced to come on for Alexander-Arnold at half-time against Arsenal and Liverpool are currently awaiting further confirmation on the severity of the right-back’s ankle injury.

They will take on a Rangers side with two 4-0 wins and in impressive form. The Gers will be adamant about putting on a show in front of a lofty Ibrox crowd as the team attempt to earn their first win of this season’s Champions League campaign.
