Liverpool’s Trent needs scan; Klopp hasn’t seen issue in seven years

Liverpool hope to avoid another lengthy injury layoff for one of their key men once news of the Trent Alexander-Arnold scan returns.

The German confirmed that efforts would be made to determine the severity of the 24-year-old’s ankle injury.

“Besides, Trent is also bad,” the German confirmed to reporters in his post-match press conference (as also broadcast on the club’s official website).

“With the ankle, sprained ankle, it’s not good. Never in seven years, he never left if she could have kept playing.

“Not a lot of pain, slight swelling immediately, so we’ll have to scan.”

It is positive news that the Englishman has not been seen leaving the Emirates Stadium complete with a protective boot like his Anfield teammate Luis Diaz, whose absence will be deeply felt.

Having said all that, it hardly fills you with confidence when the coach comes out saying that the problem was serious enough to prevent our No.66 from playing anymore.

On a more positive note, if some are open to the upside, some time away from the line of fire could make Alexander-Arnold’s confidence very good.

The England international has been a long way from reaching the heights of his previous campaign for Liverpool as they came painfully close to collecting a historic quadruple trophies.

As such, he could certainly use a break from the ongoing criticism of his performances.
