Liverpool star set for sidelines until after World Cup following knee injury

According to reports in his native Columbia, Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz is set for a spell on the sidelines.

The South American attacker played on Sunday against Arsenal, leader of the Premier League.

After being named in Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven, Diaz put in a strong first 40 minutes, recording one assist before being replaced by Roberto Firmino due to injury.

According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old, who watched Arsenal win 3-2, was seen leaving the Emirates Stadium on crutches.

Now the latest on the former Porto attacker is coming from the Colombian media, as reported by The Times reporter Paul Joyce, who claims Diaz will be out until after next month’s World Cup in Qatar.
