“He needs to calm down”

Jurgen Klopp would have been delighted to see Darwin Nunez shine in the match against Rangers, but has also discussed how the Uruguayan can get more out of his game, if he calms down.

Speaking to the media ahead of the Arsenal match, the German said: “I think he said himself that he feels the pressure, this kind of thing. He has to calm down on his own.

“You can see that the movements are exceptional and if you saw him finish training you would think, ‘My God.’ But in games, obviously, then a bit of a hurry.

“He needs to calm down right at the moment to use his full finishing range, but it’s not something, as a striker you just have to feel that.”

Watching the 23-year-old in his third start of the season, he looked a lot like a striker who desperately needs a goal and then hopefully they should start coming freely.

The boss seems relaxed though and it’s great to hear they’re flying during training sessions, hopefully we’ll see them at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.
