Highly-rated Leeds United winger open to signing contract extension

Having been at the club since 2018, Jack Harrison understandably feels at home with Leeds United.

Harrison, 25, initially moved on loan from Manchester City to Elland Road and spent three consecutive seasons with the Whites before making his move permanent for £11.5m in 2021.

After appearing in 173 games, in all competitions, Harrison has directly contributed to 54 goals, including a very important goal on the last day of last season that kept his team in the Premier League.

After what have been an impressive few years at Yorkshire, recent transfer windows have seen the 25-year-old linked with a move. One club he is rumored to be interested in has been Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United (The Athletic).

However, in an effort to fend off suitors, according to Football Insider, Jesse Marsch’s Whites are willing to offer Harrison a new contract, and according to journalist Peter O’Rourke, the Stoke-on-Trent-born winger would be open to sign. on the dotted line.

“They don’t want to sell and they want to tie him to a new contract, so they’re also showing their faith in the player,” O’Rourke told GiveMeSport.

“Jack Harrison seems to be quite happy at Leeds United and if the right terms are presented to him, I’m sure he would be happy to sign them.”
