Sadio Mane has been talking about his time at Liverpool and winning the Champions League.
The Senegalese star left Anfield to join Bayern Munich earlier this summer, where he hopes to lift even more trophies to his already impressive collection.
The ex-Rojo won every major trophy possible during his time on Merseyside and it now reflects on his time at Liverpool.
“Honestly, I will never forget my time there. I learned a lot, as a man and as a soccer player,” he said. UEFA.com (via 90 minutes).
“The supporters were incredible, the people of the city were incredible. It is a club that will stay in my heart forever.
“It is also a legendary club, they have won everything. And besides, it’s the club that had all the best nights in the Champions League”.

After his arrival from Southampton in 2015, Mane became a vital piece in Jurgen Klopp’s team.
The Senegalese international scored 120 goals and recorded 38 assists in 269 appearances for the club.
One of his most memorable nights came back in Madrid in 2019 when Liverpool defeated Spurs 2-0 in the Champions League final.
The 30-year-old spoke about winning the club’s sixth European Cup against the north London side.
“I remember very well the second goal that Divock Origi scored,” added Mane. “I was over the moon at the time. I could not believe it. I only thought of my childhood, when I was watching the Champions League.
“I also really enjoyed seeing the excitement surrounding the competition. I found myself playing a final and, more importantly, winning it. It was incredible: 2019 was an exceptional year. The celebrations, the club…
“You just had to be there to understand. I think more than half a million people were in the streets waiting for us to parade our trophy. It was just beautiful.”

So far this term, the attacker has six games in 12 outings for the German champions as they sit third in the German top flight.
After losing two Champions League finals during his time at Liverpool, Mane will be looking to savor success in competition with Munich this season.
Bayern are in a tough group with Barcelona, Inter Milan and Viktoria Plzen, but have won two out of two so far and are hoping for a chance to top Group C.
We wish Mane all the best for the season, but not if he faces us in Europe’s premier competition.
